Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be very careful when buying this saw I bought this saw recently after reading the specs for this saw on the seller's website. I've bought from this seller before and have have always been pleased, however this time has left me with a bad taste. I read the spec sheet for the product as produced on their site and it indicated that the saw had a 30mm arbor (took saw blades with 30 mm holes). After getting the saw unpacked and completely set up, I decided to look at the ease of removal of the blade (a very coarse 254mm 24 tooth TCT) only designed for ripping hardwoods and totally unsuitable for cutting plywood or MDF. I wanted to buy a 60 or 80 tooth finish cut blade capable of cutting plys and finish cuts so I checked the blade in the saw and to my surprise found out it is on a (25.4mm) bore, contrary to what their spec sheet indicates. The only saw blades that Bosch carries for that saw is the 24t blade. Try to buy one on the open market and all you can find are for chop saws with 12 or 14 inch blades (not 254 mm/10 inch). The only way to buy for that saw is to buy a blade with a 30mm bore and use a reducing ring which not only isn't the smartest/safest way to do it but I'm unsure as of yet as to whether or not the retaining flanges on the saw are capable of gripping and holding both the blade and the reducing ring as Bosch warns against it. If that isn't bad enough, it uses 1/4inch x 5/8inch mitre rail channels which nobody makes clamps, feather boards, or even just the T rails for building jigs for (Like crosscut sleds). I notice that Horme also doesn't carry any accessories for this saw, even though everybody knows that the mitre guages supplied with all saws are worthless as far as accuracy goes but the option to buy externally, very good ones exists (provided the saw has the industry standard of 3/8" x 3/4" channels.). I've spend several days trying to sort out both my blade and channel rail problems to no avail. Aside from the inability to use the saw at this point in time, the saw seems to be well made and ingeniously made. Next time I will not rely on unboxing utube videos espousing the saws greatness, but will go to hardware forums where complains like mine abound all over the world. Bosch, thumbs down on this one.
